It’s not all cushions and scarves! At Almathea Rose we offer a wide range of creative services. Our services include hand painted murals, bespoke textile designs and even designs for stained glass. I have previously been involved in great projects with interior designers, commercial businesses and home owners. Along side our silk scarves and cushions, Almathea Rose offers a bespoke mural service. Murals are a way of making your home or work space completely unique to you, with highly original, colourful artwork.
The murals are hand painted with artists acrylic paints onto a wall, any size or shape, inside or outdoors. Explore our gallery of past projects for ideas!
Almathea Rose offers a bespoke fabric design and printing service. By printing a bespoke fabric you can have a totally unique print, something that is exclusive to your home or workplace. The design starts life as a hand painted illustration and can be made into a repeat design or border print.
It is then printed using state of the art printing techniques which retain all the colour, detail and texture of the original paintings. Have a look at my case studies to get an idea of what can be achieved.
As a part of the renovation and creation of Merebrook House in 2007, I was commissioned to design a stained glass window for the entrance hall of the main house. The owner, Lorna Tyson wanted to continue the theme in the rest of the house, to mix the traditional with elements of modern design.
The design had to link the nature outdoors to that of the house itself. To achieve this I created a flowing design of tulips, bees and dragonflies. The design was brought to life by glass maker Bryony Benwell, owner of the ‘The Glasshouse’.

Ariadne is a whimsical beauty in flowing grecian dress. The scene is set in a meadow of wild flowers, she is sheltering in the shade of blossom trees. Soft blues, lilacs and mint make this a soft and feminine design, inspired by paintings of Pre-Raphaelite artists such as J.W.Waterhouse and Alma Tadema.

Matilda is a cheeky pixie hiding among the flowers, she is surrounded by a golden yellow border. The black line work of the flowers is perfectly set off by the bold yellow of the border. Matilda was inspired by the mischievous character of 'Puck' in Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream.
